‘Premium’ $10 bubble tea drink hits Woolies
With more than 100 stores across the country, it’s one of Australia’s most popular types of bubble tea.
But it’s going to be even easier to get your hands on the addictive drink, with Woolworths now stocking Chatime Bubble Tea kits and pre-mixed drinks at supermarkets nationally.
“Chatime Bubble Tea kit varieties started appearing on shelves across Australia this week in Original, Oolong, Mango and Peach flavours, as well as a Brown Sugar Milk tea and a Chatime Shaker for the ultimate at-home experience,” a Woolworths spokesperson told news.com.au.
“We offer an expansive range of tea and coffee products and we know customers like variety, so whether they’re looking for an instant solution or premium quality cafe-style beverage, they have a wide range to choose from at Woolworths.”
Available at all stores excluding Woolies Metro, the Chatime Bubble Tea Kits cost $10 each, while the milk tea drinks are $4.50.
If you want to take your bubble tea game to the next level, there’s also a Chatime Tea Shaker that you can purchase for $15.
Woolworths also shared the news on its TikTok in a video showing how to use the bubble tea kits, prompting excitement from Chatime fans.
“Shut up and take my money,” one excited shopper commented.
“I love Chatime. I’m going to go get some. My life is now complete,” one person wrote.
Shoppers lose minds over bubble tea
It’s not the first time bubble tea has caused excitement among Woolies shoppers – back in June, Avalanche’s bubble tea kits launched in stores to a massive frenzy.
Woolworths stocks the New Zealand brand’s Milky (Original), Strawberry, Peach, Caramel, Brown Sugar, Mango, Matcha and Taro flavours.
Bubble tea fans took to TikTok to share their delight, with one person commenting that they were “so mad that it’s 11.45pm now and I have to wait ’til tomorrow to get some”.
“Looks like I’m taking a trip to Woolworths in the morning then,” another wrote.
