International Service Day
“It’s Eco Time.” Chatime 2021 ISD x WWF Fundraising Event
Chatime International Service Day is held yearly on the 6th of June in celebration of Chatime’s International Anniversary. It’s a global occasion initiated across all Chatime markets with the objective of giving back to the community and uplifting environmental causes. A commitment to environmental sustainability is a core part of how we do business. As a leading global bubble tea brand, we are always looking to up our game in how we tackle environmental matters in our operations and the impact we have on local communities.
In 2021, Chatime collaborated with the world’s largest conservation organization, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Chatime’s daily interactions with millions of consumers worldwide puts the company in an influential position to engage with boba tea lovers in support of global conservation initiatives.
A fundraising page, “2021 Chatime CommuniTEA: It‘s Eco Time” was set up on the WWF Panda Nation Platform, offering an easily accessible channel for Chatime customers to interact and get involved with the WWF’s campaigns. With a great Chatime family comes to a great opportunity to do right by the environment.
Christmas at Chatime
‘Tis the Season for Sharing Joy with Local Communities
At Chatime, we have over the years been steadfastly committed to advancing our role as responsible corporate citizens. And what better way than through sharing the enjoyment of bubble tea! In 2020, the Chatime CommuniTEA program was officially launched along with a series of community engagement initiatives, including the “Christmas at Chatime” event. In early December each year, the presence of a Chatime Bubble Tea Truck in rural communities in Taiwan sparks much delight, much like the arrival of Santa Claus.
Bubble tea is a sure way of bringing people happiness during this time of the year. Joy and goodwill to people everywhere – that’s the essence of our bubble tea brand, and it's something we're delighted to share.
Sending Love to Hospital
SUPPORTING MEDICAL FRONTLINERS WITH FREE BRANDED BENTO & BUBBLE TEA
Starting from the outbreak in May, a spike in locally transmitted infections was announced by the Taiwan government nationally. The situation had soon become out of control in less than a month, with the fatality-per-infection rate rising from 0.59% to 2.78%, even higher than the global average of 2.14% recorded.
In order to show support for the medical frontliners, a free meal giveaway campaign was held under the Chatime CommuniTEA program.
In June, a total of 6 giveaways were held in different hospitals throughout Hsinchu County, delivering approximately 500 free Kingza Bentos and 500 cups of Chatime Taichi Pearl Milk Tea.
